Water, thermal or otherwise, is the focus of attention when designing areas dedicated to wellness, health, or simply relaxation.
Ancient ceramics were used to waterproof wet surfaces and walking surfaces.
Today, stoneware is the most suitable material for this type of application, as it satisfies both functional and aesthetic requirements. Ceramic offers sophisticated, intimate environments that are easy to maintain and safe for the user in terms of hygiene.
In all cases, the design choice of the surface is essential. The important issues in surface selection are a mix of technical and aesthetic aspects: resistance to thermal or disinfectant substances, design for water management, the need to ensure a pleasant feel and the correct selection of surface performance.
