METRA, with its headquarters in the Brescia area, in Rodengo Saiano, where it was founded in 1962, is a major player in the production of complex extruded aluminum profiles. 

Diversity and completeness of offer, product quality and process innovation among the highest in the market, are the cornerstones of the Group, which has 1450 professionals in its ten offices located in Italy, Canada and the United States. 

In the latter, two of the four acquisitions since 2021 have been finalized: Profile, in Georgia, specializing in extrusion, and the Alma press, in Canada. Also finalized was the very recent acquisition of Belding Machinery and Equipment Leasing and its subsidiaries, which further expands the group's extrusion capacity. The assets, located in the state of Michigan, employ a total of 170 people.

Two business units make up the group. The Industry division, offers, in addition to production, high value-added services that see it as a supplier to all user markets: railway, automotive, mechanical, furniture and transport. Of note is the recent agreement signed with India's Hindalco, a leading global player in aluminum rolling and recycling, oriented to the distribution in India of the best techniques for extrusion and processing of large profiles intended for the construction of rail cars for high-speed trains. 

The group's second division - METRA Building - verticalizes production by serving construction and architecture with high-end solutions. Aluminum windows, hinged and sliding patio doors, entrance doors, curtain walls, shutters, interior doors, partition walls, and balconies are produced entirely by METRA, through a complete supply chain: starting with the raw material and ending with the final processing.

Excellent design, safety performance, thermal and acoustic insulation, and environmental sustainability are the hallmarks of a production that partners with the most prestigious and iconic designs on a global scale. And it is precisely this ability to tailor production that has given rise to the Architectural Solutions business unit, which accompanies and supports all realizations in every step, from conception to construction itself, designing custom solutions for every need.

The Systems division, on the other hand, offers products in its catalog in which innovation, high performance standards and wide possibility of customization are irreplaceable elements. Uniting this wide and diversified production is quality and prestigious service. Distinctive elements that are the result of the group's solidity and dynamism. The year 2022 - the latest available financial year - showed an increase in turnover of 50 percent over the previous year and which touched 493 million euros, with profit jumping to 19.2 million euros.
