Caleido competes for the XXVIII° Compasso D'Oro award in the 'Design for Living' category with Parenthesis, the modular radiator designed by Marco Piva. The Compasso D'Oro award, born in 1954 from an idea by Giò Ponti and curated by the Osservatorio Permanente del Design di ADI, Associazione per il Disegno Industriale, every two years celebrates the best Italian design put into production.

With its clean and elegant forms, Parenthesis brings a strong contribution of aesthetic and functional innovation in line with contemporary living trends.

The design is modular, allowing professionals to calibrate Parenthesis in space, offering both wall-mounted solutions and as a single multi-component element. The name draws inspiration from the shape of the parenthesis where concave shapes absorb light while emitting heat, in a combination of sustainable efficiency, comfort and lifestyle.

Parenthesis is made of extruded aluminium profiles, a material that is 100% recyclable and capable of guaranteeing excellent energy yield, in the name of the quest for ever greater sustainability that has engaged Caleido since its foundation more than 30 years ago, in 1993. Since then, the Brescia-based company has worked to unite production skills and aesthetic research, obtaining important recognitions that now culminate in Parenthesis's participation in the Compasso D'Oro 2024.
